Cappy Anderson Invitational Results

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Wiley College transfer sophomore Candice Higgins and freshman Linei Woodson paced the Norfolk State women's cross country team at the Cappy Anderson Invitational Saturday.

They finished the 5K event in seventh and 11th respectively, with times of 19:41.7 and 20:47.5.

The Spartans finished fourth out of nine teams, with a score of 133 points.

Freshman Nelly Jerop completed the course in a time of 21:51.1, while redshirt junior Courtney Kearse completed the course in a time of 26:05.6. Redshirt sophomore Shameeka Price-Cleare rounded out the top five for NSU, with a time of 26:14.8.

The Spartans will be back in action in next week when they travel to Grimesland, N.C., to compete in the East Carolina Pirate Invitational on Friday.
