Pirate Invitational WXC Results
GRIMESLAND, N.C. – Sophomore
Candice Higgins led the Spartans for the second consecutive meet with a time of 20 minutes and 20.79 seconds, which was good for a 10
th place finish at the East Carolina Pirate Invitational on Friday evening.
ECU won the meet with 15 points, while NSU was second with 50.
Freshmen
Linei Woodson and
Nelly Jerop finished 14
th and 15
th respectively, with times of 21:19.34 and 22:48.41.
Makayla Peterson and Chazmin Fullwood made their Spartan debuts. Peterson and was fourth among NSU's finishers and 17
th overall, with a time of 24:38.41, while Fullwood rounded out NSU's top five. She placed 18th overall in 26:31.96.
The Spartans compete at the George Mason Invitational next Saturday.
